Resolution in Opposition to Governor Brown’s Proposed 2012-13 Budget

WHEREAS, the State of California has been withdrawing public resources to the University of California, and inflicted the unprecedented cut of $750 million from the UC’s budget in the year 2011-12;

Resolution in Solidarity with the Real Egyptian Revolution, 1/21/12

As a union of Teaching Assistants and Graduate Students, we should lend our endorsement to this statement in solidarity with the progressive movement in Egypt.  Egyptian students played a leading role in the fight to overturn Mubarak’s dictatorship and now comprise an important part of the coalition organizing for women’s rights and labor union rights as well as the defense of higher education.
