AFSCME 3299 Challenges UC Management’s Intimidation of Graduate Student Workers

AFSCME 3299 challenges an email that UC Berkeley Vice Chancellor Breslauer sent to deans and department chairs stating that Academic Student Employees must teach their classes and not engage in a sympathy strike. AFSCME executive director Liz Perlman writes,  ”…you are perpetuating the same pattern: every time there is such strike activity, the University widely coerces its employees through unlawful statements such as your own.”
