UAW 2865 seeks a Research Assistant Campaign Organizer for employment starting in January, 2015. This position is restricted to current members to help us self-organize Research Assistants at UC on a statewide level. The RA Campaign Organizer would coordinate activities at all 10 UC campuses (including UCSF, which currently has no Union presence), stay connected with the legislative process to give RAs collective bargaining rights, network with other Local Unions and supportive organizations, and develop outreach, educational, and promotional materials.
UAW 2865 also seeks an Outreach and Communications Coordinator for employment starting in January, 2015. This position is open to all applicants, with the potential for full time work in the next 1-2 years. Specific duties include updating, up-keeping, and improving our webpage (WordPress) and social media (FaceBook and Twitter), tracking the analytics of our social media influence, generating community and facilitating social media conversations, assisting as needed with membership outreach activities, and updating and archiving outreach materials and publications. Opportunities may exist to work extensively or primarily from home.
